Vbeam®

The FDA-approved Candela Vbeam laser represents a quantum leap in technology for treating wrinkles, facial spider veins, rosacea, scars, stretch marks and warts, as well as leg veins and port wine stains. In addition, the Vbeam provides a safe, simple, "lunchtime option" for the successful treatment of superficial wrinkles.

The specialized Vbeam laser applies cryogen to the patient's skin prior to each laser pulse for quick and effective cooling while protecting the skin. This increases patient comfort during treatment and allows physicians to deliver higher energy to the skin for safe and effective treatment. The laser possesses a wavelength of 595 nm, which is preferentially absorbed by the red blood cells in the blood vessels. By altering the duration of the pulse width the potential applications of this laser are broadened while complications such as bruising are minimized.

The versatility of the Vbeam is providing innovative clinical solutions for treating skin disorders. This gentle laser therapy is the next generation technology for treating vascular lesions. The Vbeam minimizes postoperative bruising following treatment, making it an ideal therapy with little or no downtime needed for healing.
